Training for Commercial Pickles

Pickle making training for women has been organized by UNYC Nepal. The training has been organized for the women to make and produce pickles commercially and to increase their income generation by marketing. This training ran for three days.

The former Minister of Land Management Dr. Gopal Dahit inaugurated the training. He expressed the belief that the demand for pickles is good in the market now and women will also have the skills to make pickles. He also said that after the development of this skill, women will become self-reliant and will also help in the education of their children.

Chairperson of the program, UNYC Nepal, Prim Bahadur Tharu said that UNYC Nepal has been conducting important work in the field of economic, social and cultural empowerment of women since its inception. He said that after the training, the women will register the industry in groups and UNYC Nepal will assist in this task.
