Atwari Union Badminton Tournament was organized by UNYC Nepal in coordination of UNYC Sports Club. Atwari is the festival of Indigenous Tharu Community. In this occasion, UNYC Organized sports competition for the union of the youths engaged in badminton game. Mr. Prim Bahadur Tharu, Executive Chairperson of UNYC Nepal and Mr. Dipesh Tharu, Mayor of Rajapur Municipality initiated the tournament.
A total of 11 teams participated in the Badminton tournament. 1st, 2nd and 3rd Positions were awarded badminton cock and cash prizes. The Acting Chairperson of UNYC Sports Club Mr. Krishna Prasad Tharu, Member of USC Mr. Amit Dahit handed over the prize to the winners. Mr. Som Pd. Chaudhary, Program Officer of UNYC Nepal appreciated the youths for joining regular sports activities and motivated to continue further.
