53 people donated blood in the blood donation program organized by UNYC Nepal. The program was organized in coordination of Nepal Volunteer Blood Donor Society Rajapur Committee.
Som Demandaura, program coordinator of UNYC Nepal, said that the blood donation program was organized with the aim that no one should die prematurely due to lack of blood. The collected blood has been handed over to District Red Cross Bardiya. He said that as blood is urgently needed for sickle cell anemia patients, accident victims and pregnant women, it is expected that the collected blood will be used to meet the demand even if it is small. Nepal Police, locals, representatives of various organizations, employees, journalists and others donated the blood.
