Construction of new houses-26
The goal of the project is to bring living standard and ensure the rights of safe housing. The name of the project is also Surakshit Aawash Project. At initial, it was aimed to construct 25 houses as per the project agreement. Later, in request of Municipality 26 houses has been built. Rajapur Municipality contributed NPR 3,00,000 per house where Habitat Nepal supported NPR 2,50,000 per house. Additional budget for gears, equipment, training and capacity building was supported by Habitat Nepal and UNYC Nepal. Door, windows and labour contribution was from the home owner.
The houses are designed earthquake protective, climate friendly with two rooms and one kitchen including a toilet in each house owner.
