9 Feb 2022

UNYC Nepal Bardiya has provided sports materials to the volleyball and football teams of UNYC Sports Club. The two groups were provided with materials including volleyball net, volleyball and football.

After handing over the sports equipment at the event, President of UNYC Nepal Prim Bahadur Tharu said that UNYC Nepal wanted to see a healthy society and country through the development of mental and physical health of the youth. He said that the youth are the property of the country. He also said that efforts will be made to cover all the wards of Rajapur Municipality and Geruwa Rural Municipality in the coming fiscal year even though the sports sector has been included as a pilot this year.

Som Demandaura, Program Officer of UNYC Nepal, said that the youth are the jewels of the country, the defenders of the country and the vehicle of development. At the same time, no matter how modern he considered himself to be, even if he wore cut pants and long hair and earrings, he was inspired to show that the habit of always respecting one’s mother, mother and elders is the identity of our youth.
